The Key Idea

If R-parity is violated, gluinos can decay entirely into jets with no missing energy, making them very difficult to distinguish from QCD multijet backgrounds at hadron colliders. This paper studies whether light gluinos with RPV decays could have been hiding in Tevatron data and explores reconstruction techniques for extracting a signal from the challenging multijet final states. The central question is whether three-jet resonance searches could recover sensitivity to pair-produced gluinos each decaying to three quarks.
